Poetry: Matt Sedillo (US) & De Droominee

May 8th – Matt Sedillo & De Droominee
An evening with performances by America's best political poet and one of Rotterdams underground Spoken Word heroes.
Two poets with a message, each with their own way of shaping that message into words and sounds. Come join us!
Matt Sedillo (1981) is the Literary Director of the Mexican Cultural Institute of Los Angeles, the National Coordinator for the World Poetry Movement in the United States, the CoFounder of El Martillo Press and the author of Mowing Leaves of Grass and City on the Second Floor.
He is the winner of the 2017 Joe Hill Labor Poetry Award and 2022 Dantes Laurel. In 2024 he was recognized by the Mexican Consulate of Tucson for his contributions to Mexican American Literature
Most of the poetry will be in English, De Droominee will perform pieces in Dutch as well.
