Reading Along Stream: The Woman with the Wolf

This first edition of Joined Narratives shows two films by Katarina Jazbec (1991). For ‘Our Bearings’ (2016), Jazbec brought the women in her family together after the loss of both grandmothers, to read the story ‘The Woman with the Wolf’.

Before reading there will be a vocal warm-up guided by Angeliki Diakrousi , an artist and a researcher, that will add another layer to the story we are going to read. The exercise chosen for the warm-up stems from her research around the monstrosity of the female voice and the series of workshops ‘Let’s Amplify Unspeakable Things’ together with Christina Karagianni.

About Katarina Jazbec
Jazbec completed her master’s in photography in 2017 with an earlier version of Permeating Hearts. She is this year’s winner of the RTM Pitch programme by International Film Festival Rotterdam; her new film will premiere at IFFR in January 2021.
