Anne-Jan Reijn
The work of Anne-Jan Reijn is about the perception of danger and plays with the expectations and the comfort of the spectator. Balancing between conceptual art and performative installations, the work of Reijn places the audience in a direct confrontation with risk. His work draws beauty from these highly dynamic situations and at the same time plays with the social aspects related to these risks.
Anne-Jan Reijn (1983, Amsterdam) finished his Masters at the ArtScience faculty at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague and previously exhibited at the Vriend van Bavink, W139, Nuit Blanche Brussels and Gabriel Rolt.
Tryday
Experimentation is an essential part of art and design practice. Discovery attempts, hypothesis-testing trials, and demonstrations of concepts – however they turn out – comprise some of the most exciting processes in V2_’s practice. Tryday, taking place on Kunstblock's acclaimed Art Evenings, will spotlight these efforts to achieve the new and unknown. These unique events socially embed V2_'s ongoing research and development and allow a live audience to witness the way emerging and established artists and designers think and work.
